I offer a multilevel approach to improve your communication and relationship with your child(ren). I have had the honor of witnessing many successes and I share what has worked for others, as well as take into consideration your own unique values and beliefs.
Whether it’s helping family members understand and support someone with ADD / ADHD, or clarifying family rules and routines, change is more likely to occur naturally when the whole system is involved.
After the initial assessment, goals and objectives will be developed along with a recommended number of sessions. I collaborate with schools, physicians, and other professionals to provide a more effective support plan based on your child's developmental stage.
From counseling with me, you will gain personalized tools that reduce the overall stress of the family. As a result, you will have more energy to focus on the longer term changes that will maintain the new ways of being. Many families report major changes in 6 to 10 visits.

Special Help for Teens
Worried about your teen's behavior and choices?
Want more respect and understanding between you?
Feel helpless and left out, unable to connect?
Teenagers are bombarded with transition issues. There are more responsibilities and choices to be made during this time of their life, which can leave teens overwhelmed and scared. Coupled with new physical changes and raging hormones, teens don't always have the ability to think rationally, or behave appropriately.
Counseling can help.
For some teens, it can be "easier" to reject expectations than face the feeling of failure, so they act as if they don't care. School failure can be a symptom of their emotional turmoil, as are defiance of rules and numbing behaviors like high drama and partying.
Teens need strong guidance and genuine encouragement to establish healthy boundaries.
At a time when there are many outside influences, teens gain confidence and stability when they are able to get some inner navigation of those stormy waters within. This often calms symptoms of ADHD / ADD, anxiety, depression, explosive anger, and power struggles.
I can support your teens with coping skills to decrease their overall stress and improve communication, behavior and attitude.
If your teen needs help, it's best not to wait.

Even as kids reach adolescence, they need more than ever for us to watch over them. Adolescence is not about letting go. It's about hanging on during a very bumpy ride.
